Why GRIND Matters:
This is your athlete’s entry point into the EDGE system. Coaches evaluate effort, coachability, and current skill level. You’ll get honest feedback on where your athlete should start.

When to Use GRIND Clinics:
New to EDGE? Start here. Let us evaluate your athlete before committing to a full season.
Returning after a break? GRIND gets your athlete back up to speed.
Between seasons? Keep skills sharp while deciding on next steps.
Need placement clarity? Coaches will recommend the right program level.
Skill Reinforcement? Advanced players who want to master skillsets (shooting, position specific training, etc.)

What Parents Can Expect:
After GRIND sessions, coaches provide:
No fluff. Just actionable feedback.

  • Skill assessment (ball-handling, shooting form, defensive positioning)
  • Placement recommendation (which program level fits best)
  • Areas to focus on for development

Parent FAQ:

Q: How many GRIND sessions should my child attend before joining a league?
A: Minimum 1-2 sessions for evaluation. If they’re brand new to basketball, 4 sessions helps them build confidence before competitive play.

Q: Can my child just do GRIND Clinics without joining AAU teams?
A: Yes, but we don’t recommend it long-term. Skills need game application. GRIND is best used as a supplement or evaluation tool.
